Case Study

Pacific Star Charters is a new company based out of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico who turned to us for logo design help. The only real requirement Pacific Star Charters had for us was to use the same typeface for the logo that is on their yacht by the same name. Other than that, we were given a lot of creative license to create a logo that represented the company and to a degree, the yacht.

Our first iterations were focused on the idea of water and the yacht itself, respectively. Pacific Star Charters ultimately went with the one that represented the yacht and water, which we refined so that the spacing among the various elements were appropriate and didn't become distorted when sized down.

In addition to the logo, we also created a custom Identity Style Guide for Pacific Star Charters. The guide gives them some loose guidelines on how to best use the logo in multiple applications (such as banners, websites, print materials, etc.). While a style guide is not always best suited for a small business, often it is best to have one in order to keep your branding and marketing consistent.
