Challenge
Based out of Seattle, Evolution Aviators approached us to help them redesign their website and re-establish their web presence. It was clear that they needed and wanted to separate themselves from their competition as well as appeal to their target audience better, something their previous site didn’t do well enough.
In addition to redesigning the site, the Evolution team wanted to expand on the site and have it be a learning destination for pilots wanting to hone their skills which would also be another source of revenue for the company.
Evolution’s previous site did have a blog. But it was clunky to update and didn’t have the standard functionality that modern blogs do, such as commenting, an RSS feed, categories, etc. This and their need to be able to manage their site independently and easily needed to be solved as well.
Solution
In initial discussions with Evolution, we all agreed that we needed to present the company in a manner that would resonate with their target audience: young, hip, affluent small aircraft owners and pilots. So we focused on a sleek, modern look that would not only appeal this demographic, but keep the site easy to use and really show off Evolution’s virtues.
We modified the structure of the site to make things easier to navigate and built it on a robust content management system. The CMS allows the Evolution team to update virtually every aspect and page of the site, including the upcoming Training Library, which will feature video and document based training courses for pilots.
