Challenge
181 Solutions in LA called on us again to help them with one of their clients, American Rena International. The design was handled by 181 and it was up to us to build the site from their design mockups. Additionally, we needed to make the system managable via content management system. On top of that, the site also needed to be viewable, page for page, in Chinese – traditional and simplified.
Solution
Having worked with 181 on a handful of other sites, they knew, as did we, that ExpressionEngine was the best CMS for this site too. It allowed for a ton of flexibility, including the multi-language portion.
American Rena site administrators are able to manage every part of the site in what essentially boils down to three languages: English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. The text for each page in each language is managed in one spot, as opposed to having to click through to other areas in the CMS to manage one single page three different times.
