Internet Marketing

E-mail marketing can be tough to get right. Open rates, unsubscribes, subject lines, reply address, and a whole batch of other things can make anyone's head spin. But it doesn't have to be. Especially if you keep your message simple.

Example 1: WILLCO Painting & Construction

This email is incredibly simple: a header, date, "forward to a friend" link, a big headline, a little text and a nice big photo (which I cut off in the screenshot because it's tall). No frills and it leads readers to the company's blog. Simple and effective.

Example 2: Apple

Now this is even simpler. A couple of key links and then bam! A huge product shot, short, compelling copy and a clear call to action (the "Learn more" button) which leads to their product page.

Both of these emails are superb in their simplicity and objectives. Not all email newsletters or updates have to include an article. It all depends on your goals.
