SEO lie confirmed

A year ago to the day, I wrote an article about a client of ours whose customer was trying to sell them on guaranteed SEO for the price of a small car. Recently I was told by this client that her customer is no longer does SEO. Apparently websites aren't "the right marketing tool" anymore. So last year.

If it's possible to choke on air while laughing, I almost did. Not only because what our client's customer said is not true, but because of the tremendous success this particular client has had with her website. In fact, from October 1, 2007 to March 2, 2008, her website visits have more than doubled. This is, of course, a simple statistic, but it is, in fact, backed up by a steady growth in sales. I'll admit that it wasn't 100% all due to the website, but it sure was a huge contributor. But I guess it doesn't matter if websites aren't a good marketing tool anymore. ;)
