Here's an interesting message we at 420 Design received from "some guy" (that is the name he left – see image below):
Upon receiving it I did little more than have a good laugh - mainly because "some guy" didn't have enough backbone to give his real name or email address.
As a designer, I'm used to criticism. Good, bad, and everything in between. I learned early on in my career to never fall in love with my work - perhaps the best lesson I ever learned from someone I respected quite a bit. But when criticism encompasses insults and childish remarks, it's difficult to take seriously.
That said, I would be very interested to find out more about these supposed issues with this site (other than the missing images - I'm aware of that, thanks). You see, "some guy," this site has been tested pretty thoroughly across several browsers on both Mac and PC. But even then, there may be some errors that were simply overlooked. Regardless, I would love to know what platform/OS you were viewing this site on, which browser, and which browser version. Unless of course you were using something like Netscape 4 or Internet Explorer for Mac. If that's the case, take that extra energy you have and get a real browser.
I do, however, appreciate your deep concern.
i like your writings on design, but i have to say that your site doesn't back up much of what you're saying. there's no contrast with your background, there are spacing issues throughout, and i think most of the images are missing from your posts. so, nice try, but you just come off like an egotistical airbag. just add a background color to your site already and notice how much easier it will be to read the articles.
