Awesome Design: Glocal Ventures

Glocal Ventures is a website for a Keller, Texas non-profit aimed at helping the people of Vietnam.

The website is beautifully designed using an earthy color palette that trickles down right into the photograph thumbnails. The background image is more than appropriate and works well while getting out of the way and out of your face. In other words, it's a subtle but well thought-out solution to bring the entire site together. The design has also given the site strong marks in the usability arena. It's easy to navigate and easy to see where you are in the site hierarchy. Overall, this is a simple but really good website with brilliant design backing up (what seems to be) a good cause.
