Awesome Design: Aviator logo

This week's Awesome Design feature is for a logo for a fictitious company / organization called Aviator. I found it over at LogoPond. I'm not sure what *exactly* it is about this logo that is incredibly striking to me. I think it's a combination of its simplicity and the juxtaposition of the somewhat serious feel of the letterforms and the playful nature of a paper airplane. The blue background (which, if you look hard enough also has some puffy clouds) also contributes to its coolness. Whatever it is, it's a great logo that's well thought out and well executed.
