Accountability for your site’s content

I recently spotted this disclaimer at the footer of a music store's website:

In case you can't read it, here's what it states:

[Company]* does not accept liability for incorrect spelling, published errors including prices, incorrect manufacturer's specifications or changes, or grammatical inaccuracies in any product included in the [Company]* Website. Prices subject to change without notice.

*Actual company name left out and blurred in the image to protect the "innocent".

In some way I can see why a company would want to include this kind of disclaimer on their site. But it's a stretch no matter which way I think about it. The last sentence about prices being subject to change is pretty standard, so it's fine as it is in my opinion. The problem is that long sentence preceding it. Essentially they're saying that they're not responsible for errors in their content. Quite frankly, that makes them look like they don't care. They don't care about the quality of their content, the quality of their site and as a result, probably don't care about the message they're sending their visitors and customers. On a business level the statement makes them look unprofessional, as if to throw their hands up in the air and say, "Yeah, there might be errors but that's not our fault".
