Have you ever gotten an email that claimed to be from your bank, credit card company, or even your PayPal account? Those kinds of junk emails are called "phishing emails" and most of us have received at least one at some point or another.
The number of these kinds of emails is astonishing and doesn't look to be slowing down any time soon. In addition, those who create these emails are also creating fake websites. So what can you do to prevent getting caught in their traps? Here are some tips:

When it comes to advertising, small business owners are doing a fair job at including their website URL in their print ads. The problem is that it's not enough to just have a URL anymore. Just because it's there doesn't mean people will go to it. And if they do, they see what everyone else sees: your home page. The good news is, there's a better way.

When you visit a well-designed website, your experience with it is probably so smooth and simple you don't even realize it. And perhaps because of its simplicity it seems like it shouldn't take long to create. Oh, if only that were true.
